East Lombok DPRD Chairman M. Yusri stressed that the MotoGP would generate a significant impact not only for Mandalika but also for surrounding areas, including East Lombok.
He noted that the influx of thousands of visitors would boost tourism, drive small businesses, and directly benefit the local economy.
He added that the council is also playing an active role in supporting the event, including encouraging fellow legislators and civil servants to purchase tickets and participate.
Yusri expressed confidence that the Mandalika MotoGP 2025 will succeed and deliver broad benefits for the people of NTB.
The organizers have introduced a special ticket program for residents holding NTB ID cards and civil servants across the province.
Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) Operations Director Troy Warokka said the initiative is both a gesture of appreciation and an effort to give wider access for locals to witness the world-class race at affordable prices.
According to Troy, the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2025 is not only a premier motorcycle racing event but also a celebration for the people of NTB.
The presence of tens of thousands of spectators is expected to stimulate accommodation, transportation, culinary businesses, and local SMEs, further strengthening Mandalika’s role as Indonesia’s hub for sports tourism.
With the special ticket program, the organizers hope NTB residents will attend the race at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, show their support, and be part of this historic global sporting event held on their own soil.
