The campus is considered capable of creating synergy between education, innovation, and tourism development, with a focus on environmental preservation and the empowerment of local communities.
The UID Bali Campus is designed as a capacity-building center open to the public, providing opportunities to deepen understanding of the SDGs.
Its presence symbolizes Bali’s tourism transformation toward a more sustainable direction.
Alongside campus development, the Kura Kura Bali SEZ is also working on an international marina project with a capacity of 145 yachts. The marina will be integrated with tourism, trade, and maritime service facilities.
This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Tourism’s flagship strategy, “Upgrading Tourism,” which emphasizes the development of marine-based tourism.
President Commissioner of PT Bali Turtle Island Development, Tantowi Yahya, expressed optimism that the marina would become one of the most beautiful in the world.
Located inside a bay, the marina is considered strategic, as it is protected from strong waves, ensuring safety for large vessels. Investment in the Kura Kura Bali SEZ continues to show positive progress.
Data from the first semester of 2025 recorded tourism investment realization in Bali at Rp7.10 trillion, representing 20.8 percent of the total national tourism investment.
Meanwhile, investment in the Kura Kura Bali SEZ reached Rp260.96 billion, equivalent to 14.53 percent of this year’s investment target.
