“I want to see more quality developers emerging in the regions to help generate employment,” said Ara in an official statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He also expressed his appreciation to regional governments for implementing free policies on Land and Building Rights Acquisition Fees (BPHTB) and Building Approval Permits (PBG).
“Once again, this is a great example of a well-executed subsidized housing program. These are the kinds of developers who prioritize customer satisfaction, which helps build trust and reputation,” he said.
The Minister reiterated the importance of ensuring that subsidized housing is built to high standards, providing safety and comfort for the people.
Ara emphasized that this is part of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration’s commitment to delivering quality affordable housing for citizens.
He also urged developers from various associations, including the Real Estate Indonesia (REI), to uphold building standards in public housing projects.
Developers under REI and other associations are expected to maintain construction quality and follow directives from the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas, especially when utilizing state budget (APBN) funds for subsidized housing developments.
“President Prabowo has instructed that subsidized homes must be built responsibly. Even though they are subsidized, they must still meet quality standards so that people’s hopes are not let down,” he added.
Ara concluded by calling on all housing developers to carry out their projects responsibly, with strong attention to construction quality and environmental standards.
