Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto has provided financial assistance to the families of three Indonesian soldiers who died in the line of duty ahead of the TNI's 80th anniversary, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said.

The fallen soldiers were Marine Private First Class Zainal Muttaqin, Navy Seaman Second Class Lingga Surya Permana, and Army Private Johari Alfarizi.

They died in separate incidents during events and rehearsals for the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) anniversary.

Wijaya personally visited the families of Zainal and Lingga at Wisma Elang Laut in Jakarta to deliver condolences and the president’s aid on Thursday.

He was accompanied by Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali and Marine Corps Commander Lieutenant General Endi Supardi, who also extended official condolences and presented the aid.

Wijaya said the same assistance was given to the family of Johari Alfarizi, a member of the Army’s Strategic Reserve Command (Kostrad), who died after a rehearsal ceremony.

Admiral Ali said the aid reflects the government’s commitment to caring for TNI families and honoring the dedication of fallen soldiers.

“Their spirit, service, and sacrifice will continue to inspire the next generation of TNI,” he said.

Lt. Gen. Endi echoed the sentiment, expressing high regard for the soldiers' families and reaffirming the Marine Corps’ dedication to defending national sovereignty.

In addition to the presidential support, the families also received compensation from state-owned insurance firm PT Asabri and several banks.

The symbolic handover was held at TNI headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, and led by TNI Inspector General Vice Admiral Hersan, representing Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto.

"On behalf of the TNI family, we extend our deepest condolences. Your loved ones leave behind a legacy of honor and pride for the family, the unit, and the nation,” Hersan said.

Each family received over Rp350 million, plus Rp10 million in goodwill payments from two state-owned and one regional bank.
