"The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning is carrying out a system transformation from analog to digital. If the digitalization runs successfully, it can minimize land disputes and conflicts in Indonesia," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
He affirmed the government's commitment to reducing the number of land disputes and conflicts through the acceleration of digital transformation in the public service sector.
This digitalization of land services is deemed crucial to speed up administrative processes, close loopholes for overlapping land claims, and strengthen the transparency of land ownership data.
According to him, this step is also aimed at addressing various land issues that sometimes arise due to administrative problems.
Dermawan stated that around 70 to 80 percent of his ministry's duties are directly related to public service.
Therefore, system modernization is deemed crucial so that land and spatial planning services can be provided more quickly, accurately, and transparently to the public.
In addition to digitalization, the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning is also continuously pushing for the implementation of two national programs: the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) and agrarian reform.
These programs are said to have a significant impact on equalizing land ownership and providing legal certainty to the community.
The deputy minister expressed hope that support from the community and collaboration with the relevant agencies can be enhanced to drive the success of the ministry's programs.
"We hope the public will continue to provide support, constructive criticism, and input on our performance, especially in regions. This is essential so that we can constantly improve services and deliver greater benefits to the community," he remarked.
