He underlined that timely completion is critical to accelerating human resource development as part of Indonesia’s long-term vision toward Golden Indonesia 2045.
“Ensuring the school is ready on time is vital to delivering excellent educational services for the nation’s children,” Prasetyo said here on Thursday.
On the same day, he led the topping-off ceremony at the school site in Gunung Sindur, Bogor District. The event, marking the installation of the roof, symbolized the completion of the main building structure and the transition to the final construction phase.
He highlighted that SMA KTB has already enrolled 120 students in its inaugural class, all selected through a highly competitive process from 11 thousand applicants. He expressed pride in the strong public interest, which he said demonstrates high trust in the school’s quality.
This year, the target is to attract 15 thousand applicants to ensure only the best candidates are admitted.
He stressed that human resource quality is a decisive factor in national progress, noting that abundant natural resources are insufficient without skilled, capable individuals.
Citing Singapore’s development despite limited resources, he emphasized the need for schools like SMA KTB to cultivate talent for Indonesia’s future.
The school adopts the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, emphasizing character, critical thinking, creativity, and 21st-century competencies.
As of November 12, 2025, 722 prospective students have applied, showing strong academic results and IQ scores across regions from Sumatra to Papua.
Construction progress has reached 18.796 percent, surpassing the target despite logistical and weather challenges, ensuring the school is on track for full operation by May 2026.
