We want to ensure people can travel more affordably during the year-end holidays,Jakart (ANTARA) - State-owned ferry operator PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry said on Friday it will offer discounts of up to 19 percent during the 2025/2026 Christmas and New Year holidays to support the government’s transport stimulus program.
CEO Heru Widodo said the fare incentives aim to strengthen interregional connectivity and boost economic and tourism activity at the end of the year.
The government has launched a nationwide transport stimulus to encourage mobility and shore up household purchasing power during the peak holiday season.
Heru said travelers will benefit from discounts across land, sea and ferry transport, making year-end trips more accessible and affordable for the national public.
ASDP will apply discounts of up to 19 percent for an estimated 227,000 passengers and 491,000 vehicles between December 22, 2025 and January 10, 2026.
Heru said the initiative reflects ASDP’s synergy with the government in delivering direct benefits to the public while revitalizing local tourism and regional economies.
“We want to ensure people can travel more affordably during the year-end holidays,” he said.

The fare reductions follow the issuance of a joint decree mandating transport-sector state firms to provide discounts as part of the national stimulus for the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year period.
ASDP has begun coordinating with stakeholders to ensure operational readiness across ferry routes implementing the discounted fares.
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said the transport-discount program is already in effect, funded by a government stimulus budget of 180 billion rupiah (USD11.2 million).
“We are providing holiday transport discounts worth 0.18 trillion rupiah, including for trains, sea transport, ferries and some airline tickets,” Purbaya said.

ASDP Corporate Secretary Windy Andale said discounts will apply on major high-volume and tourism-heavy routes, including Merak–Bakauheni, Ketapang–Gilimanuk, Padangbai–Lembar, Kayangan–Pototano, Sape–Labuan Bajo, Tanjung Uban–Telaga Punggur and Ajibata–Ambarita.
She said the program is supported by ASDP’s Ferizy online ticketing system, enabling easier and faster bookings without queues at ports.
ASDP’s digitalization push continues to show results, with Ferizy recording 3.23 million users as of August 2025, up 24.7 percent from a year earlier.
Online ticketing has expanded to 35 ports nationwide, from 26 previously, marking steady progress in modernizing ferry services.
Windy said rising Ferizy usage shows strong public adaptation to digital systems and hopes the stimulus will energize local economies at key tourist destinations.
ASDP aims to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality services while supporting broader national recovery efforts, she added.
