Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned toll operator PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll Road (JTT) on Thursday morning implemented a one-lane contraflow scheme from Kilometer 47 to Kilometer 65 toward Cikampek on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road.

JTT Vice President of Corporate Secretary and Legal Affairs Ria Marlinda Paallo said the measure was aimed at maintaining smooth traffic flow during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holiday period.

"PT JTT urges Trans-Java toll road users to always prioritize safety," Paallo said in a statement.

She said traffic volume on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road had increased, prompting the company to advise motorists to prepare carefully before traveling.

Drivers were encouraged to ensure their physical condition and vehicles were fit for travel, check fuel and battery levels, and make sure their electronic toll card balance was sufficient.

Road users were also urged to obey traffic signs and follow instructions from officers on duty to ensure safety and comfort.

Motorists can access real-time traffic information through the Travoy 4.5 application or contact Jasa Marga's 24-hour One Call Center at 14080.

Earlier, Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A. Purwantono urged the public to plan trips carefully, avoid peak travel times and congestion-prone areas, and make use of real-time traffic information provided by the company.

Jasa Marga said it remains committed to ensuring safe, smooth and secure travel through coordination with toll operators, police and the public during the holiday period.
