Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto’s policy directions delivered at a national coordination meeting must serve as a working compass for central and regional governments, Indonesia’s government communications chief said on Monday.

Prabowo addressed 4,487 participants from central and regional administrations at the 2026 National Coordination Meeting held at the Sentul International Convention Center in Bogor, West Java, outlining priorities for governance and public service.

“The President’s directives are a moral compass and operational guide for all state officials. Government must deliver real action, people-oriented policies, and honest, transparent communication,” Government Communications Agency (Bakom) Head Angga Raka Prabowo said.

Angga Raka said the President’s messages covered a wide range of issues, including a renewed emphasis on the essence of leadership in government as service and dedication to the public interest.

“President Prabowo called on leaders at all levels to stand united, work tirelessly and fight together to eradicate poverty. There must be no sectoral ego, because we serve the Indonesian people,” he said.

Prabowo also stressed that all national leaders derive their legitimacy from the people’s mandate, making it the duty of governments at every level to ensure public welfare, justice and social harmony.

“He reminded leaders that they exist because of the people’s mandate and must serve the people. The nation’s future is in leaders’ hands, and citizens expect fairness, integrity and genuine commitment,” Angga Raka said.

He added that the Government Communications Agency would ensure the President’s instructions and messages are conveyed fully and consistently to all stakeholders and the broader public nationwide.
