In a statement cited here on Sunday, Minister Dody Hanggodo said that the ministry developed the cooking and distribution facilities in cooperation with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
"We coordinated directly with BGN and the Home Affairs Ministry in determining sites. Our side was responsible for surveying locations and assessing feasibility to commence construction immediately, given the target," he remarked.
Hanggodo added that handover processes to the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) are underway, with the agency authorized to conduct on-site reviews before officially receiving and operating the facilities.
"BGN will perhaps check them one by one. Regardless, all construction work is complete," he remarked.
The minister also noted plans to strengthen coordination with BGN following its recent leadership reshuffle to ensure all MBG kitchens built by the ministry can operate optimally for public benefit.
By building additional SPPGs, the ministry expects to expand the national priority program’s reach to more people nationwide, including those in regions with accessibility challenges.
Two SPPGs constructed in such areas are linked to the Wini and Motamasin crossborder posts (PLBN) in East Nusa Tenggara Province.
PLBN Wini’s SPPG covers an area of 1,408.63 square meters in North Timor Tengah District, while the one in Motamasin spans 1,469.12 square meters in Malaka District.
MBG kitchens developed by the ministry include a main cooking room, dish and ingredient washing areas, storage facilities, parking lots, a clean water network, a wastewater installation, panel rooms, waste disposal points, and other supporting infrastructure.
