"Denny Indrayana`s action is irregular in terms of normal ethical code," he said at the House of Representatives building here on Wednesday.
Priyo who is an associate chairman of the second biggest Golkar Party asked who had actually first discovered the passport of Gayus Tambunan under a fake name of Sony Laksono, the task force, the police or the prosecutor`s office.
If it was true that the task force was the first that discovered it he would give
appreciation.
"However, the discovery should not have been made known to the public through a twitter service but should have instead been reported first to the police for a joint action," he said.
He said publicizing the passport photo of Gayus Tambunan using a twitter account would shock and slap the face of other official law enforcement agencies such as the police, the prosecutor`s office and the ministry of justice.
Priyo meanwhile questioned the validity of the rumors that had developed that Gayus using the passport under the fake name of Sony Laksono had traveled as far as Singapore and Macau.
"If the rumors are true it means law enforcement agencies in Indonesia were already rotten." he said.
Priyo asked the police and the ministry of justice to immediately follow up and settle the case thoroughly.
Gayus Tambunan again came under spotlight after Devina, a newspaper reader, reported through a national newspaper`s readers` forum on January 2, 2011 that she had spotted a man who resembled Gayus on a flight from Jakarta to Singapore on September 30.
Gayus shocked the people after he was in November seen watching an international tennis match in Bali while he was supposed to stay at a police detention facility in connection with his case.(*)
