Batam, Riau Province (ANTARA News) - The remains of business tycoon Sudwikatmono, who passed away at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore early Saturday, will be flown to Jakarta in the afternoon.

Spokesman of Indonesian Embassy in Singapore, Hanung Nugraha, said the embassy has made ready all necessary documents needed for the flight of Sudwikatmono`s remains from Singapore to Jakarta.

"All transportation documents have been made ready for Sudwikatmono`s remains to be flown to Jakarta on Saturday afternoon," Hanung Nugraha said.

He said there was no special treatment from Indonesian Embassy in Singapore for Sudwikatmono, a cousin of former President Soeharto, who passed away at 5 on Saturday morning Singaporean time after being treated for a kidney complication.
Born on December 28, 1934, at Wuryantoro village, Wonogiri, Central Java,

Sudwikatmono was the founder and the former owner of PT Bank Surya, commissioner of PT Bogasari Flour Mills and PT Indika Entertainment.

Sudwikatmono was survived by a wife, four children and eight grandchildren.

"He had been undergoing treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore, since a month ago," Hanny, a niece of Sudwikatmono`s wife, told Liputan6.com.

His remains are expected to arrive at his Pondok Indah residence on Saturday afternoon, and will be buried at Diego Hills, Purwakarta, West Java, on Sunday (Jan 9).
Sudwikatmono was a successful businessman during the New Order era as he was close to Soeharto, the country`s second and longest-serving president.

Soeharto had appointed him to chair "Dana Mandiri" Foundation to support the government`s poverty eradication program.

He had started his business in 1957 in leather exports, and later on he established almost one hundred business entities, including the Twenty One movie theater chain.(*)
