Surabaya, E Java (ANTARA News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) III has invited 27,882 cruise ship passengers to visit different parts of Indonesia in 2010.

"Many cruise ship passengers have been eyeing our operating areas for making tours in Indonesia," spokesman for PT Pelindo III Iwan Sabatini said here Friday on the number of cruise ship passengers who visited his working areas in 2010.

He said the 27,882 cruise ship passengers in 2010 were foreign tourists using 53 ships.

"And several passengers from countries in Europe are more than 50 years old," he said.

In 2010, he said that the composition of the passengers including in Benoa came with 28 ships carrying 13,683 foreign tourists, Tanjung Emas 14 ships with 7,351 tourists, and Lembar port with ships with 5,939 tourists.

"In addition, in Probolinggo port there are two ships with 159 tourists, and in Tanjung Perak one ship with 750 tourists," he said.

In Tanjung Perak he said the passenger is 6,375 square meters. which is supported by the depth of the sea reaching 20 meters.

"In the meantime, the biggest ship which had cast anchor in Tanjung Perak is 205 meters long," he said.

"The biggest ship which has visited Tanjung Benoa in Bali has a length of 223 meters called Pacific Sun," he said. (*)
