La Paz (ANTARA News/AFP) - The collapse of a nine-story building in downtown Santa Cruz has claimed 13 victims in eastern Bolivia, officials said Sunday after rescuers recovered four more bodies from the week-old wreckage.

A 15-year-old boy was among those killed.

Local rescue crews supported by workers from Mexico, Peru, Chile, Argentina and even France were looking for four or five other bodies they believe may still be buried under the rubble of the building that collapsed for unknown reasons a week ago.

Rescuers have ruled out the possibility of finding more survivors. Eight workers were found alive in the rubble hours after the accident.

Workers are now focusing on "removing rubble with backhoes, clearing the area and digging through the rubble in places where bodies could be found," rescuers said in a report. (*)
