Berlin (ANTARA News/IRNA-OANA) - The foreign policy advisor of Fatah, Abdallah Al-Frangi voiced strong support for Mubarak regime amid latest bloody crackdown on pro-democracy protesters in downtown Cairo Wednesday.

Talking to Thursday`s edition of the Duesseldorf-based daily Rheinischen Post,Frangi urged the Egyptian president to hang on to power despite international pressure for Mubarak to step down.

`The Egyptian president cannot just go,` stressed Frangi.

Fatah`s controversial backing for Mubarak is in line with the Zionist regime and Saudi Arabia only, all three of them fearing similar fates for themselves.

Meanwhile, there are mounting global demands for the Egpytian dictator to call it quits to avoid further bloodshed. (*)
