Jakarta (ANTARA News) - United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) confirmed that Imanda Amalia (28), reportedly killed in the turmoil in Cairo, is not one of its staffers as reported by the Indonesian media.

"No, she is not an UNRWA employee," Chrisopher Gunnes, an UNRWA spokesman in Gaza said here Thursday.

A report was also made by Sami Mshasha, a spokesman from Jerusalem, that there was no statement that Imanda was a UN humanity organization worker. "Based on our search and observation, Imanda was never registered as an UNRWA employee," said he.

The woman reported as an UNRWA worker was killed in a clash of protesters in Cairo, Egypt on Wednesday (2/2) evening.

Imanda was said as an Indonesian citizen in a Facebook account in the Science of Universe group in a minute after the group apologized for the incorrect news.
