Semarang, C Java (ANTARA News) - Law and Human Rights Minister Patrialis Akbar said Sunday`s bloody attack on Ahmadiyan members in Pandeglang, Banten Province, should be legally accounted for.

"The attack on members of the Ahmadiyah community that left three people dead is a violation of law and human rights, and therefore it should be legally accounted for and thoroughly investigated," the minister said here on Monday.

Patrialis said that in the implementation of human rights in Indonesia, there were restrictions and conditions that should not be violated but be respected by all parties.

"The human rights of every individual as stipulated in the article 28 of 1945 Constitution should not be violated," Patrialis said, adding that that the implementation of human rights in moral and religious values, public orders, and security should not be violated.

Asked about the bloody attack on the members of Ahmadiyah community in Padeglang on Sunday, the human rights minister said it was beyond his authority to comment on it any further.

"The government`s stance in relation to the attack on Ahmadiyah members will be officially conveyed by Religious Affairs Minister Suradharma Ali," Patrialis said.
