Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono arrived in Kupang at 2 pm local time for a working visit in East Nusa Tenggara province until Friday (Feb. 11).

The president and his entourage including First Lady Ani Yudhoyono landed at E1 Tari airport, Kupang, and were greeted by NTT Governor Frans Lebu Raya and some other local officials.

Among ministers in the presidential entourage were Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, National Education Minister Muhammad Nuh, Industry Minister MS Hidayat, Chairman of the Investment Coordinating Board Gita Wiryawan and Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi.

On Tuesday afternoon, the president is expected to inaugurate a peace gong and plant threes and dedicate the Sonaf Soet Hinef smart house.

On Wednesday morning, the president and the first lady will attend a function to observe National Press Day.

Yudhoyono and his entourage will proceed to Atambua on Thursday and will stay there until Friday morning. Atambua, Belu, is located around 300 km east of Kupang and takes around eight hours by a car from Kupang.

They will stay over night in a military tent while in Atambua to visit Yonif 744/SYB military personnel guarding the border area shared by Indonesia and Timor Leste.(*)
