I dare not return home yet because I am still traumatized by the clash at Suparman`s house. My house is near hisPandeglang, Banten (ANTARA News)- Police are still guarding the house of Ahmadiyah Islamic sect leader, Suparman, in Pendeuy hamlet, Umbulan village in the subdistrict of Cikeusik, Pandeglang, Banten, following recent attack.
"The security effort is taken because it is still under police investigation," police field coordinator Second Inspector Surino said here on Saturday.
He said the police continued guarding the location of Suparman`s house after the attack on Sunday on Ahmadiyah followers in the village that left three people dead.
Although the situation in Umbulan, Cikeusik, has been relatively conducive some 60 police officers remained standing guard 24 hours a day to assure security there.
"We are still imposing a tight security," he said.
He said police had also guarded the Cikeusik police station involving hundred personnel including from the military (TNI).
He said the effort was taken to ease control in case a mass came from Wanasalam because the location borders with Lebak district.
"The police and TNI are still tightly guarding the Cikeusik police station," he said.
Umbulan village head Johari meanwhile said that the attackers who wore blue bands were not from Cikeusik. "I do not know them who have attacked Suparman`s house," he said.
Some villagers of Cikeusik meanwhile were still afraid to return home following the incident.
"I dare not return home yet because I am still traumatized by the clash at Suparman`s house. My house is near his," Wati (45) said.
Wati and her relatives were hiding in Malingpin in the neighbouring Lebak district.
"We will only return home if the situation is really conducive and secure," Sarminah, another villager in hiding, said.
The Cikeusik subdistrict head, Abdjah, had appealed to his people who had fled to other villages to hide to return home as condition has been secure.
"I can guarantee that no further clashes would happen. Security situation has been conducive and the police are guarding Suparman`s house," he said. (*)
