Jambi (ANTARA News) - Jambi Governor Hasan Basri Agus said Monday the provincial and regency administration will get 15 pct of gas of PetroChina`s explorations in the area.

The governor said the government and BP Migas already agreed on sharing the remaining gas management from the oil wells in Tanjabbar run by PT PetroChina Jabung International Ltd. 15 pct is remaining gas and to be shared between the provincial government and the Tanjung Jabung Barat regency.

The gain from managing the 15 pct of the gas will be divided equally between Tanjabbar regional administration and the provincial administration with a 50:50 composition. "We at BP Migas are actually already agreed. The division, 7.25:7.25 pct with a share3 of 15 pct will be divided in two," the governor said.

Earlier, Tanjab Barat Regent Usman Ermulan said the regency administration was in need of gas, but profit. "We need the gas to generate electricity, not for sale to anybody," he said.
