Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Jakarta Metropolitan Police will deploy 700 personnel in securing the observance of the Hindu Balinese Day of Silence (Nyepi) on Saturday, Mar 5, Metrojaya police chief Inspector General Sutarman said here Friday.

Sutarman said security precautions will cover places for prayers of Hindus in Jakarta and surroundings.

He also hoped religious groups observing the religious event along with large masses of people had been advised to report to the local police authorities for security reasons.
