"It is the President`s prerogative to conduct reshuffle."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is to meet Golkar Party Chairman Aburizal Bakrie this week to discuss issues related to the government coalition, a Golkar executive said.

The meeting would be held at the presidential palace in Jakarta, Golkar Party Vice Chairman Agung Laksono said here Monday.

Although the meeting would discuss matters affecting the government coalition, the evaluation the president reportedly to make on the conduct of coalition members would not lead to any cabinet reshuffle yet as there was a standing political contract among the leaders of the coalesced parties, Agung said.

A cabinet reshuffle could be done if the political contracts agreement were no longer valid, Agung said.

"It is the President`s prerogative to conduct reshuffle," Agung said.

In addition, there was no discussion yet in the coalition about the replacement of Aburizal Bakrie as chairman of the coalition`s joint secretariat, Agung said.
