Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The performance of the police officers investigating the spate of Tuesday`s parcel bombing attempts is to be evaluated directly by Jakarta Police Chief Insp Gen Sutarman, a spokesman said.

"The parcel bomb cases are considered to be of such importance that the investigators` performance is going to be personally evaluated by the chief," Jakarta Police headquarters public relations officer Sr Com Baharudin Djafar said here Wednesday.

The Jakarta police chief would make his evaluations at special sessions attended by the heads of all Jakarta police departments.

The subject matter of the evaluation sessions would be the latest information police investigators had obtained, the results of investigations at the scenes of the bombings or where the bombs were found, and clues needing followup action.

Earlier, on Tuesday, three bombs hidden in hollowed out books were found at different places. The parcels were addressed to Ulil Abshar Abdalla, chairman of the Liberal Islam Network, in Utan Kayu, Goris Mere, head of the National Narcotics Bureau (BNN), and Yapto S Soeryosumarno, chairman of the Pancasila Youth organization.
