Banda Aceh (ANTARA News) - The management of the Aceh United (AU) soccer club wishes to recruit several Acehnese children who graduated from a training program in Paraguay to strengthen its team which is now competing in the Premier League Indonesia (LPI), an AU official said.

"We are eager to recruit them, let alone in our program of next competition, Aceh United team will prioritize local players," M Zaini Yusuf, Aceh United`s president, said here on Friday.

According to him, as many as 12 of 18 Acehnese junior footballers had returned home after studying football science for three years in Paraguay.

In the meantime, another 18 junior footballers who have joined clubs in Paraguay and Argentina, are scheduled to return to Aceh in October 2011.

Aceh United planned to recruit the young footballers

for next year competition, Zaini said, adding that this club is in need of the front goal-hungry, so the team could strengthen the front row.

"We will see their ability, although they have studied for three years in Paraguay. If any of them are good and meet the coach expectations, then we can recruit one or two of them," Zaini cited.

The Acehnese junior footballers should take part in many competitions in a bid to avoid the loss of their knowledge because they need a lot of experiences.

Meanwhile, Nuzuli MS, head of sports division of the provincial Youth and Sports office said, 12 of Acehnese junior footballers who have returned home from paraguay are Satria Setiawan, Agam Rahmatillah, Sayuti, Zoel Fadli, Armiadi, Malem Budiman, Arief Hidayat, Hardiansyah, Gian Riandi Saputra, Foumi Syahreza, Feli Ariesta and Zikrillah.

In addition, another 18 Acehnese junior players are still joining clubs in Paraguay and Argentina.
