"At present, the three bodies are being kept in Bhayangkara Police Hospital of Yogyakarta. For the identification process, we are still waiting for the arrival of a team which has left Jakarta," an anonymous source of the hospital said here Saturday.
A team of Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) from Central Java`s Police has arrived in Sleman and directly proceeded to Bhayangkara Hospital.
Anti terror police shot dead three suspected terrorists during a raid at Sanggrahan village in Sukoharjo district, Central Java, early Saturday morning.
A Bhayangkara hospital source spoke on condition of anonymity said that the the bodies of the three suspected terrorists arrived at the hospital at 4 am on Saturday.
"They were immediately taken to the hospital morgue
with tight security precautions from 88 Special Detachments of Yogyakarta and Sleman," said the hospital source.
Heru, 55, a local resident, said the police in a shootout around 1 am until 1.15 paralyzed two terror suspects.
"I woke up after I heard about 20 gunshots, and when I looked out of my window I saw two lifeless bodies lying on the roadside not far from my house," Heru said.
He said that at about 3 am afterward, the police raided a rented house of Agus and seized some evidence among others six rifles, several textbooks on Islam, some pieces of iron, and vests.
According to information from the scene, Agus` house was rented by Endro Yunanto, his wife, and two children.
Meanwhile Prapti, a neighbor, said that the police came to the house at 3 am and took away Endro Yunanto but left his wife and the two children.
