Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Police are still chasing several people wanted for their involvement in bombing threats in Klaten, the head of the National Police`s public information service, Senior Commissioner Boy Rafli Amar, said here on Wednesday.

He said the terror network in Klaten was found to have connections with the suicide bombing at Al Dzikro Mosque in the Cirebon city police compound last April 15.

The police`s anti-terror unit Densus 88 shot Sigit Qurdowi who was the leader of the Tauhid Al Jihad and his body guard, Hendro Yunanto.

From them the police confiscated an FN pistol, a Baretta gun, a hand grenade and one hundred rounds of FN ammunition.

The two were the actors behind bomb threats at a church and the police station in Pasar Kliwon, Solo, Central Java, on December 2010.

They were also involved in the Cirebon terrorism network and linked to four terror suspects caught in Solo.

The four suspects caught in Solo weree Edi T alias Edi Jablay, Ari Budi alias Abas alias Irwan, Hari Budiarto alias Nobita and Aripin Haryono.

"Right now we are still developing their cases. All of the arrested suspects t are members of the Tauhid Al Jihad group. They are still being investigated," Boy said.

He said the cases were uncovered following the discovery of firearms and explosives in Depok, Boyolali, Cirebon, Slawi and in some other areas in Central Java.

"The finds prove that they had plans to commit terrorist acts . If they still possessed the explosive materials and firearms, it is not impossible that they would have proceeded with their planned terror acts," he said.(*)
