In the teleconference, President Yudhoyono would dedicate a number of government projects in five locations, Mimika, Central Halmahera, West Nusa Tenggara, Cilegon in Banten, and North Sumatra,
Mimika deputy district head Abdul Muis said here on Thursday.
Besides, Abdul Muis said the president would also launch the Indonesian Development Expansion Acceleration Master Plan (MP3I) 2011-2025.
He said preparation for the teleconference between Governor Suebu and President Yudhoyono in Timika was underway.
Meanwhile, local councilor Albert Bolang said Papua provincial government has paid it serious attention to acceleration of physical and infrastructure development in Mimika.
Albert said the provincial government in 2010 allocated Rp185 billion for a number of development projects in Mimika such as schools, roads, and bridges, and a port.
And this year Albert said the government would also allocate Rp19 billion funds for the development of fishery sector in Paumako.
Similar teleconference between Governor Suebu and President Yudhoyono was also conducted in Merauke and Jayapura recently. (*)
