"The agreement to reactivate the Indonesian embassy was reached in a bilateral meeting during the 16th Ministerial Conference and Commemorative Meeting (of the Non-Aligned Movement-NAM)," the minister said here on Thursday.
He said that besides reactivating the embassy, the two sides also agreed to enhance bilateral relations.
"As we know that the Indonesian government has been determined to reactivate the embassy in Baghdad after several years of being non-active. So, there have been steps to be taken for the purpose," the minister said.
Indonesia and Iraq also discussed developments in the Middle East and North Africa.
He said that the experience of the two nations in democracy was very important to be shared with the Middle East nations which were now undergoing the same stages.
In General, the meeting of both sides discussed cooperation in the framework of NAM.(*)
