Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to meet with the vice president of the World Football Association (FIFA), Geoff Thomson, on the sidelines of his visit to Geneva, Switzerland, on June 13 - 15, 2011, a minister said.

Yudhoyono will visit Geneva to address the general assembly of the International Labor Organization (ILO).

Youth and Sports Minister Andi Mallarangeng, after attending a forum of young Indonesian leaders at the Pacific Place, Jakarta, on Thursday, said Thomson had sent a letter to request a meeting with President Yudhoyono who will pay a visit to Switzerland on June 13-15, 2011.

"There was a request from the FIFA vice-president. He sent a letter requesting a meeting with our president," Andi said.

According to Andi, he had yet to meet the President to submit the request of the FIFA vice president.

"I hope I will have the opportunity to discuss it with the President so that he will accept it," Andie said.

However, Andi said, there was no certainty that the meeting would discuss the chaotic situation in the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI).

According to him, the meeting was not more than a request from the FIFA vice president to make a courtesy call on the president.(*)
