The signs of Indonesia to become a Muslim fashion trend setter in 2020 have been seen. Focus will be put on its future promotion.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian fashion product exports are rising every year, according to the Cooperatives and Small and Medium Business Minister`s Deputy for Human Resource affairs, Agus Muharam.
"Fashion product exports rose by 15 percent from last year`s," he said here on Thursday, after opening an entepreneurship festival at Mercu Buana University.
With the trend he believed Indonesia`s target of becoming the orientation of Moslem fashion products in 2020 would be achieved.
"The signs of Indonesia to become a Muslim fashion trend setter in 2020 have been seen. Focus will be put on its future promotion," he said.
Agus said the quality of the products of small and medium businesses has improved. He said the number of small and medium businesses in the country has also increased from 12.7 million units last year to 53.2 millions now.
The number of cooperatives meanwhile has also increased from 152,000 units to 157,000 units.
Mercu Buana University rector Arissetyanto said he planned to set up an entepreneurship center in the campus to help support the government`s program.(*)
