The session was asked to choose one of two options, namely setting the threshold at three percent or at 2.5 - 5 percent but there was no common agreement on either of the possibilities.
"Because no consensus was reached, Baleg will refer the matter to a House plenary session next week," House Baleg chairman Ignatius Muljono said after the meeting at the Parliament Building.
As many as six party factions at Beleg meeting proposed to set the parliamentary threshold figure at three percent whereas three big party factions , namely the Golkar Party, Indonesian Democracy Party-Struggle (PDI-P) and Democrat Party factions wanted the parliamentary threshold requirement to be 2.5-5 percent.
"As there was no consensus , we will present these two options to a House plenary meeting next week for a decision," Ignatius said. (*)
