Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono suddenly summoned Vice President Boediono and a number of cabinet ministers to the State Palace here Wednesday night.

Vice President Boediono arrived at 8 pm and the ministers were already there.

The ministers included Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Coordinating Minister for People`s Welfare Agung Laksono, Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa, Manpower and Transmigration Minister Muhaimin Iskandar, Minister of Law and Human Rights Patrialis Akbar, Social Affairs Minister Salim Assegaf, and Finance Minister Agus Martowardoyo.

There had been no official statement on what the impromptu meeting will discuss. Earlier, the President has also summoned a number of ministers for a meeting of the echelon-1 ministerial Final Evaluation Team (TPA) until 7 pm.

On Thursday morning (June 23) the President is scheduled to attend a consultative meeting with the House of Representatives (DPR) at the State Palace to discuss a number of issues including the protection of Indonesian migrant workers (TKIs) which has drawn nationwide attention in the wake of the execution by beheading of Ruyati binti Satubi in Saudi Arabia.(*)
