Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to open a National Congress of the Indonesian Young Businessmen`s Association (HIPMI) in South Sulawesi on October 17, 2011, presidential spokesman Julian A. Pasha said.

"The president said he would decide the right time to open the congress," Julian said at the Presidential Office here on Monday.

According to Julian, the president appreciated the management of the young businessmen association, because HIPMI could cooperate with Indonesia in the process of national development.

Julian said the head of state hoped that young entrepreneurs would continue to increase their performance so that they would be able to contribute maximally to the national development.

In the meantime, HIPMI Chairman Erwin Aksa said he was having a one-hour meeting with the president on Monday.

He said that besides inviting the president to open the association`s congress, the HIPMI executives also reported to the head of state the development already achieved by HIPMI.

"Over the past three years, we have been feeling the government support in advancing the business world, particularly businesses run by younger generations grouped in business world," he said.
