Surabaya, East Java (ANTARA News) - The premium gasoline quota for East Java has been used up due to the high fuel consumption in the face of the fasting month of Ramadhan, an official said.

"Premium consumption of the people has reached maximal level exceeding the quota for this region by five percent," Eviyanti Rofraifah, external relations manager of state-owned oil and gas Pertamina for East Java, said here on Sunday.

She said that the premium consumption of the people in East Java had reached 257,000 kiloliters, exceeding the normal supply of 247,000 kiloliters.

"Apart from that, the diesel oil consumption also has exceeded the quota by 6.3 percent to 106,000 kiloliters," she said.

She said that she was convinced that the Pertamina headquarters would send supply to fulfill the need for premium of consumers although it had finished its quota.

"We also asked the regional government of East Java to help supervise fuel supplies," she said.
