"Our flights are back to normal. At least 30 planes departed from Jakarta this morning," the company`s president director, Emirsyah Satar, told newsmen after the signing of a "Club Loan" agreement between Garuda and a number of private banks here on Friday.
The Association of Garuda Pilots (APG) conducted a half-day strike in protest against the management that has differentiated the wage for local and foreign contract pilots.
Emirsyah admitted that some flights were still delayed but they happened because of operational reasons.
He denied that the company had suffered a loss because of the APG strike.
"There is no loss. If transfer of passengers to other airlines is a common thing in airline business," he said.
On what the company would do next after the "peace" agreement was made Emirsyah said he would settle the problem thoroughly before the Idul Fitri holiday.
"We will fing the best solution including settling the collective labor agreement (PKB) issue," he said.
He declined to comment much when asked about the accusation of mismanagement addressed by the APG saying only that it was "a mere communication problem."
"Communication must be two ways. We hope we become one team. The battle is not inside but competition is outside," he said.
