In his press statement after being received by the president, Retraubun said the National Christmas would be observed in way of a civic mission on December 18 and a peak event on December 27, 2011.
"The civic mission is an important part of the National Christmas that will be conducted on Sunday, December 18, in the form of health service to around 1,500 people at Penjaringan area in North Jakarta," Retraubun said.
He added that besides the civic mission in North Jakarta, the similar activity would also be conducted at Irmof village in Southeast Maluku district on Sunday with the planting of 1000 trees in the village.
"Then on Monday evening, December 19, the Christmas party will be held at Elar village, also in Southeast Maluku district, as part of the National Christmas 2011 committee`s attention to Elar villagers," Retraubun said.
According to the deputy minister of industry, the peak event of the National Christmas would be observed on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) with the presence of President Yudhoyono.(*)
