The head of state is being accompanied by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono and several cabinet ministers.
They departed to Malang, East Java, from Halim Perdanakusuma air force base, East Jakarta, on Wednesday, at 9 am local time.
In Malang, the president and the entourage will officially open the 11th Congress of Jam`iyyah Ahlith Thariqah Al Mu`tabarah An Nadliyyah.
From Malang, the president will proceed to Pacitan, his hometown, and Madiun.
