Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck Nabire, West Papuaat 05.27 p.m. (Western Indonesian Time), the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said.

According to a representative of Geophysics BMKG Tri Handayani, the quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometers 4.02 South Latitude and 134.91 East Longitude.

The quake`s epicenter was 83 kilometers of the southwestern Nabire, Papua.

"The quake was relatively small and no tsunami is expected," said Handayani.

The quake was also felt 89 kilometers southeastern Kaimana and 146 kilometers of southeastern Telukwondama, West Papua.
