Palu, Central Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - Bernaldo, a Philippine fisherman who was stranded in Donggala district, Central Sulawesi province, on March 7, will likely be transferred to the immigration office in Manado, North Sulawesi for further process, an immigration official said.

Head of the Central Sulawesi provincial city of Palu`s immigration office Arman Andrya said here on Saturday that the Filipino will soon be handed to the Manado immigration office after being questioned.

"The Manado immigration office has the authority to deport Bernaldo," Arman said, explaining so far Filipinos who were stranded at the Central Sulawesi territory used to be sent to Manado.

The Manado immigration office provided a detention house for foreigners, he said.

In addition, the Philippine`s consulate general is also located in Manado that facilitates the questioning process, Arman stated.

To date, Palu`s immigration office has not yet questioned Bernaldo due to his health problem.
