"Oil and gas exports dropped 2.68 pct from the same period last year."Pekanbaru (ANTARA News) - The Riau Statistics Board (BPS) said Riau`s exports in February 2012 reached 1.59 billion US dollars, up 13.62 pct from January`s 1.406 billion US dollars.
"Riau`s export contribution to the national level in February 2012 reached 10.21 pct," Head of Riau BPS Mawardi Arsyad said in Pekanbaru Friday.
The cumulative value of the exports in January and February reached 3.004 billion US dollars, comprising oil and gas 590.93 million US dollars, up 14.87 pct from the month earlier.
In the January-February period this year the oil and gas exports reached 1.105 billion US dollars.
"Oil and gas exports dropped 2.68 pct from the same period last year," he said.
Non oil/gas exports in February reached 1.007 billion US dollars, a 12.9 pct increase compared to January. Cumulatively the non-oi/gas exports reached 1.899 billion US dollars in the January-February period.
However, he said Riau`s exports in the January-February period dropped 2.31 pct from 3.075 billion US dollars in the same period last year.
The export of farm commodities, industrial and mining products as well as others in the January-February 2012 period respectively dropped 57.87 pct, 0.88 pct and 67.13 pct compared to the same period last year.
