Bogor, West Java (ANTARA News) - A team has left for the location of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 plane crash in Mount Salak in Bogor, West Java, to carry out evacuation.

The team consisting of 1,540 personnel from the military, the police and community members left at 9.30am from Cipelang village and they are expected to arrive at the location about six hours later.

At 10.14am fog was seen covering the mountain area which is part of a national park.

The Indonesian Red Cross meanwhile has made available 100 bags for bodies, two helicopters and ambulances for emergency.

The Russian commercial plane crashed after slamming the slope of Mount Salak in Bogor, West Java, during a demonstration flight on Wednesday afternoon.

The plane carried more than 40 passengers including eight Russian crew members and citizens of Indonesia, the US, Italy and France..
