Passengers were made to pass through security checkpoints and their cars.
Denpasar (ANTARA News) - Lebaran holiday travelers arriving at the Gilimanuk ferry port in Bali on Thursday were thoroughly frisked, local police spokesman Commissioner Made Prihanjagat said.

He noted that this was done keeping security concerns in mind.

Prihanjagat said that passengers were made to pass through security checkpoints and their cars, luggage, and even their identity cards were examined by security officials.

"All Lebaran holiday travelers arriving at the Gilimanuk port will be examined to prevent the possibility of any security disturbances taking place in Bali," he stated, adding that the security checks will continue until the passenger traffic peaks on Sunday.
