Latest data reports two persons dead and dozens of people injured during the flash flood.
Parigi (ANTARA News) - Floods are still inundating around 242 houses across several villages located in the South Parigi sub-district of the Parigi Moutong district in Central Sulawesi, an official said on Monday.

However, most of these houses are vacant, because the occupants have taken refuge in safer places, Ramli Borman, the chairman of the Parigi Moutong Disaster Mitigation Office said.

He also stated that the local authorities have distributed aid such as blankets and food to the flood victims in Boyangtongo and Lemusa, which are among the worst-hit villages by the flood.

Floods in Central Sulawesi have already killed two people and destroyed a 150-meter long bridge connecting Boyangtonogo to Dologo.

Emergency tents have been set up around the flood-hit areaas to accommodate the flood victims. T

Data also suggests that the flash floods triggered by incessant heavy rains have reportedly rendered around 1,424 people homeless.
