BEIJING, Aug. 27, 2012 (ANTARA/PRNewswire-Asia) -- Air China and Swedish customs authorities recently inked a deal on the carrier's starting to offer, from September 1, baggage through check-in to passengers who need to transfer to other Swedish domestic cities via Stockholm airport.

The service will allow passengers who fly on Air China from Beijing to Stockholm and need to connect to another Swedish city at Stockholm airport to have their baggage checked in Beijing all the way through to the final destination in Sweden. At Stockholm airport, the passengers just need to go through the usual formalities for immigration, customs and quarantine and after completing the security check, they can get onboard on the flight for their onward journey. The service spares them the trouble of having to claim and check again their baggage at Stockholm airport.

The service tremendously cuts back on the time that passengers have to spend when making a transfer and enhances travel experiences. Air China will continue to improve its transfer service subject to the requirements of Swedish customs authorities.
