The director general said that the new recruits were badly needed because the present personnel in his directorate who totaled 10,127 were not enough to carry out the operational duties.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The directorate general of customs and excise has obtained approval from the House of Representatives (DPR) to recruit some 2,000 new employees in 2013, a senior official said.
"We have a recruitment quota of 760 personnel this year and for 2013 we have the approval to recruit about 2,000 new employees," Agung Kuswandono, the director general for customs and excise affairs, said here on Wednesday.
He said that the new personnel would be recruited in an effort to increase the directorate general of customs and excise`s performance in safeguarding the state revenues.
The director general said that the new recruits were badly needed because the present personnel in his directorate who totaled 10,127 were not enough to carry out the operational duties.
Therefore, the opportunities for the new recruitment are open wide for applicants not only for ship crew like this year but also for administrative staff affairs with certain skills, he said.(*)
