Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A central bank official predicted the country`s inflation would reach 4.6 percent in 2012.

Inflation in September is well under control and is expected to remain low, Perry Warjiyo, a Bank Indonesia director for economic research and monetary policy, said.

Earlier, the state run Central Statistic Agency (BPS) said the country`s inflation in September was 0.01 percent or 4.31 percent on-year .

The inflation in September brought the country`s inflation to 3.79 percent in the first nine months of the year.

Inflation in September 2012 was the lowest for the same month in the past five years.

In 2007, inflation in September was 0.8 percent, in September 2008 it was 0.97 percent and last year ti was 0.27 percent.(*)
