"The training is conducted by MDF in Ede, the Netherlands from 14 October to 2 November 2012," Director of Nuffic Neso Indonesia Mervin Bakker said in a press release received here Thursday.
MDF is a worldwide training and consultancy agency for strengthening the managerial and organizational capacity of (international) organizations.
Mervin explained during the three-week training, the participants will be attending the classroom session as well as visiting relevant stakeholders in the Netherlands.
He noted the Netherlands is an excellent country in the world in the field of study. The Economist (the web`s most trusted source of global news analysis 2010) and OECD (The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) 2011 respectively gave the Netherlands the fifth rank in the world in terms of information and communication technology infrastructure and the first rank in the world for broadband connections.
"All environs are suitable for Indonesian government officials to acquire knowledge and skills on how the the Netherlands utilizes information technology for public information purposes," Mervin added.
Meanwhile the Head Bureau of Organisation and Human Resources of the Indonesian Trade Ministry, Arief Adang, said the training is important to improve the ministry`s capacity particularly in the field of public information in order to support transparency as part of the implementation of good governance practises.
"The output of the training will undoubtedly provide essential contribution to the centre of public relations of the ministry," he added.
In relation to the scholarship program, Mervin explained the StuNed scholarship program is the only bilateral scholarship from the Dutch royal government, showing the special relation with Indonesia.
The tailor made training modality within StuNed is unique because it meets the applicants` demands and thus is tailored to the needs of Indonesian organisations.
