Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian currency gained slightly against the US dollar this morning with market players beginning to invest in risky currencies.

Rupiah traded at 9,610 to the dollar in inter-bank transactions regaining some of its value from 9,615 after losing in the past two days.

"Some market players still considered positive the country`s economic performance," Trust Securities` analyst Reza Priyambada said here on Friday.

Reza said the rupiah`s declining trend was stopped today also on positive external factors mainly improved Chinese data.

However, some market players chose to "wait and see" the release of US data expected to be better than expected.(*)
