Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Coordinating Minister for Economy Hatta Rajasa will summon all governors in Indonesia to discuss the handling of fuel oil subsidy at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs building, here Monday.

The meeting that begins at 3 pm will be attended by the Deputy Minister of Oil and Gas Director General, Head of Downstream oil and gas regulator BPH Migas, Marketing Director of the state`s oil and gas company Pertamina and Head of Association of Gas Station Owners (Hiswana Migas).

Previously, Hatta said that the government will choose the best option for the subsidized fuel consumption, and the choices taken will not burden the people and able to maintain fiscal conditions.

"We have not decided yet, the discussion is about which options gives the best impact," he said.

Hatta said that the government is still reviewing the options and the policy is currently is to reduce the subsidized fuel consumption and provide targeted subsidies to the poor.

Meanwhile, the Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Jero Wacik said that the government is more inclined to choose the option of fuel price increases for private cars and will be announced in the near future.

"The policy`s option is still being discussed and will be announced by the president," he said.

Wacik said that the government will not take the option of increasing fuel price for all vehicle or manufacture the RON (Research Octane Number) 90 fuel type.

Meanwhile, Pertamina claimed to be ready to run any fuel policy that the government decided to reduce the subsidies that will be announced in the near future.

"We are ready with the option taken," said Director of Marketing and Commerce Pertamina Hanung Budya.
