Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian national soccer team was defeated 0-3 (0-0) by the 2010 World Cup runner-up, the Netherlands, in a friendly soccer match at the Glora Bung Karno Main Stadium here on Friday evening.

Two of the three Dutch goals were netted by Siem de Jong with a header after receiving a cross from the right side of Indonesia`s goal keeper Kurnia Meiga at the 56th and the 66th minute.

Arjen Robben, who helped Bayern Munchen to become the champ in the League Champions 2013, added another world class goal for the Netherlands in the 89th minute.

Robben, who set a decisive goal for Bayern when defeating Dortmund 2-1, was able to pass three Indonesian soccer defenders from the left side before he let loose a hard kick to make a goal which could not be anticipated by Kurnia Meiga.

The soccer match which was described as `David vs Goliath` match unpredictably lasted so tight where the Indonesian national team was able to provide resistance, although the Indonesian soccer players were almost all the time only able to be defensive.

Although it finally suffered a three goal defeat, Kurnia Meiga showed a good performance because he was able to guard the goal from repeated attacks launched by the Dutch led by Robin van Persie, Wesley Sinder and Arjen Robben.
